Water Plant Systems Manager
Opportunity in Zimbabwe
Description
If you love mechanics and teaching others, you could fill an urgent need by managing Karanda Mission Hospital’s water system. This critical system provides water to hundreds of patients every day, as well as the local community. But right now, the hospital needs someone to make repairs, improve efficiency and provide training for local staff.
As water plant system manager, you’ll find ways to increase the system’s quality and sustainability. You’ll also coach local staff on how to steward the water system and the importance of proper, ongoing maintenance. Plus, frequent interaction with staff and local villages will provide opportunities for discipleship, Bible studies and Jesus film screenings.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role, dealing with borehole repair, effluent issues and water retention management from both surface and subsurface levels. Candidates should have a working knowledge of the engineering behind water systems. However, TEAM can provide hands-on training in the States, led by someone who knows Karanda’s water system and the challenges it’s facing.
In just two to three years, you help save lives, preach the Gospel and change communities for generations to come. Don’t miss this opportunity!
