Opportunity in South America

Description of Position

This opportunity is with TEAM’s ministry partner SAM (South America Mission), an evangelical and interdenominational mission organization with a vision to see the church of Jesus Christ multiplied across South America, transforming local communities and the world by embodying the kingdom of God. SAM works in five countries in South America: Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, and Paraguay. SAM’s missional emphases include incarnational living, reproducing authentic disciples of Jesus, multiplying churches and church networks, training Godly leaders and enabling transformational initiatives within the local church.

SCCLC is looking for a Youth Pastor. The Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center (SCCLC) is a premier international k-12 academy in Bolivia’s largest city. Santa Cruz is a bustling metropolis and the SCCLC is a dynamic ministry reaching the lives of students and parents, helping to build up the next generation of leaders. The role of the Youth Pastor is a challenging and multi-faceted job. Each year, secondary students grades 6-12 are offered Bible courses, weekly Chapel gatherings, weekly youth group nights, annual spiritual retreats, and an annual camp. The SCCLC Youth Pastor with a team of volunteers helps guide the spiritual development of our secondary students and plan many of these events. Each weekday, the youth pastor is available during school hours to meet with students, to join them in the lunchroom, and to help disciple those who have the interest to dig deeper into their faith. The duration is for 3 years or more.

Requirements of Position

Must have an undergraduate degree in Bible, Youth Work, or a Humanitarian Degree from a Bible College
At least one year of prior experience as a Youth Pastor or Youth Leader is required
