Youth / Young Adult Ministry (Paris Hub)

Opportunity in France

Description

Do you believe that youth are important? We do too! And we suspect that God has a very important work among youth in France. It is currently a hard life for French youth, and for European youth in general. The whole career thing is looking pretty grim. Only one out of two French youth will be able to land a job this year. If your math is bad, this means 50% of French youth won’t start a career. Those who are still in school see this and it really messes with their worldview, their hopes and their attitudes. What a great opportunity for God’s people to step up to the plate!

Are you gifted in evangelism, discipleship, apologetics? Can you hang out and kick a ball around with young people? There is a big opportunity in Paris to be used by God in a very meaningful way, working with French youth and young adults.

You could come to Paris and take some language and civilization courses while hanging out with French youth, earning their respect and trust. (Offering your services as an English tutor is a great way to start these relationships.) Once you are well acclimated and networked, you can up the ante by organizing a retreat or an event or regular meetings.

This opportunity is for someone who believes that God loves and cares for youth and young adults and is doing something extraordinary in their groups and culture and circles.

Requirements

  • We require you to be experienced and good at engaging with, caring for and serving youth and young adults.
  • We require you to be able to work with others. This is an important ministry that begs to be structured and intentional. Lone rangers pass on by.
  • We require you to be patient. It takes some time to learn how to communicate and perform well in French. Patience goes a long way.
