Piers Vander

Piers was born in Zimbabwe in 1963 and educated at the University of Cape Town. He holds a degree in Business Administration as well as a Graduate Degree in Accounting. Piers was also qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 while working at Ernst & Young, and earned an M.A. in International Development from William Carey International University in 2012.

He went on to work in the commercial world in IT, finance, and executive management roles before immigrating to the United States in 2003 while leading Saratoga Technologies Inc. (a subsidiary of a South African company called Saratoga Software (Pty) Ltd.)

After moving to the U.S., Piers joined Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. In late 2005, the leadership of the church invited him to become the Director of Global Mission for the church. He has held this role since 2006.
