Proclaiming the Risen Son in the Land of the Rising Sun!
I am a Korean-American, the daughter of Korean immigrant parents, born in Berlin and raised a little while in Chicago and a long while in Dallas. I left a part of my heart there in Texas! I have a B.A. in Communication Science and Disorders from Baylor University with a follow-on M.S. from the University of Texas at Dallas. I worked as a speech-language pathologist in public schools and private settings before the Lord opened up a door for me to serve Him in Japan.
I met my Texan husband Tim in Japan while I was there as a missionary and he was stationed there with the US Navy. After that, I received an M.A. in Biblical Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.
As God leads and provides, we have a heart to equip the Japanese church so that many more Japanese may be among the nations giving Him glory!
My greatest blessings are my husband Tim and two kids, Hudson and Annalise.
Our family is currently in America on home assignment, and plans are in the works for our ministry when we return to Japan. I’ll be homeschooling our children and sharpening my Japanese language ability with formal one-on-one lessons.
Stay posted for further details!
The Japanese are the second largest unreached people group in the world. As such, there is a lot of the image of God here in Japan who have yet to hear the name of Jesus Christ. The gospel came to Japan centuries ago but has never taken root. What is most needed for Japan is prayer.
Primary Prayer Request:
Pray for our language fluency and cultural understanding to grow.
Pray for our children who are little people with big hearts living between cultures as missionary kids, yearning for friendship, and hopefully learning and growing as we homeschool.
