My Story

Brent & Nicole Preston are based outside of Madrid, Spain. Brent oversees TEAM’s leadership in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Previously, the Prestons started communities of Christ followers in the Former Soviet Union—Dagestan and Krasnodar, Russia; and Odessa, Ukraine.

Born to TEAM workers in Papua, Indonesia, Brent came to Christ in high school. Although the last thing he wanted to do was to become a cross-cultural worker for the King, God worked in his heart to help him see an eternal perspective. Now he is all-in. He graduated from Columbia International University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Nicole is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Going to Russia as an ambassador for Christ fulfilled a life-long dream for her. She graduated from Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education. Nicole loves being a light in Spain and has many friends among those that Jesus misses the most.

The Prestons have four children. Steel, Stone, Katie, and Strider.

Brent’s role in TEAM is to help area leaders be successful and to help keep TEAM in tune with what God is doing in a changing world. His job requires that he travel to North Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East to strengthen, encourage, and hold accountable, leadership there.

The Prestons love to travel to see new cities and places. The especially like to take vacations where there is water. In Spain you can find water in four directions! Brent likes to free dive and sail, and the kids love to snorkel and play in anything sea, pool, or ocean. Brent and Nicole love people and like to go out for “tapas” with their friends in Spain.
