My Story

I knew the Lord was calling me to medical missions before starting nursing school. After graduating as an RN the Lord allowed me to work in Chicago as a pediatric nurse and volunteer with the women and children living in a local homeless shelter as well as their clinic. Meanwhile, I was asking the Lord where to go and He has allowed me to travel to 22 different countries for various reasons, and has given me a love for the people of every place I go. While waiting for the Lord to clearly guide and direct me, I moved to Indianapolis and completed a master’s degree in Community Health Nursing. The Lord continued to keep Guatemala on my heart, and has opened the doors for me to return there to serve Him through nursing to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Guatemala.

Ministry Focus

I am partnering with various Guatemalan Christian medical NGOs providing nursing care through clinics and community health. I have the opportunity to work in both urban and rural settings. My focus is on providing medical care in combination with evangelism and discipleship. I am also focusing on encouraging the Guatemalan nurses to share the Gospel while providing quality health care. Another area of ministry focus is on the community and training community members on basic health care skills, as well teaching basic health education to the communities. Ultimately, in everything that I do as a missionary nurse, the most important healing is not physically, but spiritually.

Primary Prayer Requests

*Opportunities to use nursing as a means to share the Gospel and build the church

*Knowing how to point people to Jesus as their source of hope in the midst of living in very hopeless conditions
