Beth grew up in a Christian home in the Chicago area. Her interest in missions began at an early age through her parents and church’s support of missionaries. Her passion for God’s work around the world was fueled in college at Moody Bible Institute, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music and toured with the Women’s Concert Choir, including an international tour to the Far East in 1990. During her senior year at MBI, Beth met her husband, Gerald, a TEAM MK from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Beth and Gerald began serving the Lord in ministry together in the Chicago area, at the First Baptist Church of Downers Grove, where Gerald served as youth pastor. In 1999, they accepted a call to serve in the UAE at the United Christian Church of Dubai. Five years later, they moved back to the States for Gerald to pursue a career in Christian higher education administration. Gerald now serves as the Vice President for Student Development at Cornerstone University, where Beth also served as the executive assistant to Dr. Joe Stowell, president of Cornerstone University, prior to joining TEAM in August 2020. Beth completed a Master of Arts in Management from Cornerstone University, and she enjoys using her administrative skills behind the scenes to serve Christ and His kingdom.
