Caleb and Beth Anne Trim

Caleb's Story

I grew up as a TEAM missionary kid in Japan and lived here for 16 years. Through this experience, I developed a heart for Japan and its people. Upon graduation from high school in Kobe, Japan, I attended university in the United States, earning a BA in Intercultural Studies and Bible from Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska. My work background has been as a bilingual analyst for a measurement diagnostic company in Omaha. My goal is to use my bilingual business skills in ministry in Japan.

Beth Anne's Story

While studying for my English degree, I traveled to Japan as a part of TEAM Serve on a short-term missions trip in the summer of 2006. There I taught English classes at Agape Bible Church in Kobe, Japan. During that time, God placed on my heart a desire to return to Japan and use my skills as an English language teacher.

Ministry Focus

Our family moved to Tokyo, Japan to be long-term missionaries in November 2016. During our first two years, we devoted our time to studying language and culture as we prepared for long-term ministry.

We feel called to reach the urban center of Tokyo and the people who live and work there. Young adults are flocking to the city to pursue higher education or for employment. Unfortunately, the current church-planting model has struggled to significantly reach working adults and students. So among this unreached people group, these demographics are the most unreached in Japan.

We have a passion for business as mission (BAM) and a vision to start an English Language Service Provider Company focused on offering interpretation, translation, and English teaching as a way to reach out to this unreached community.

Living like Christ daily, loving the whole person, and building positive relationships both inside and outside the workplace is how we intend to share the Gospel with the people of Japan. This pioneering initiative will allow us to more widely share the love of Christ with the Japanese people through workplace discipleship, communicating faith at work principles, and connecting them with a local church.
