My Story

In my sophomore year of high school, I was up till the early hours of the morning reading my Bible and when I came to the Great Commission passage, the Spirit spoke directly to me that this would always be the DNA of my life. I started a college ministry at the time and then ended up going to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.  I took many intercultural classes, and finished with degrees in Pastoral Studies and Ministry Leadership, and saw many people give their lives to Jesus in between.

I lived in ethnic and underserved neighborhoods in Chicago and served short-term with TEAM in East Asia. In Chicago, I worked for a residency program that had students living missionally in cross-cultural neighborhoods. As the Urban Cohort Developer, I found my passion. I stepped into an existing system that needed much updating, and we created a formational program, that encompassed the head, heart, and hands of the students.  I walked alongside students to equip and challenge them to live into God’s vision for their lives, as they did the same for those in their communities.

I have served with TEAM in the role of Mission Coach both in the Los Angeles and San Diego area in California. I have valued the opportunity to connect with and resource a wide variety of people as they’ve pursued joining God on his mission of restoring and reconciling all creation and people to himself. Today, I serve as TEAM’s Mobilization Director. I am married to my beautiful and strong wife, Abby, who served with TEAM in La Paz, Mexico. We live in San Diego, and do get to the beach as often as we can!

Our mission is to partner with the global Church in sending disciples who make disciples and establish missional churches to the glory of God!

Let’s go together,

Director of Mobilization
