My Story

I was raised in Venezuela in a missionary family. I’m so thankful for parents that taught me about the love of the Lord Jesus. I accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart when I was in the 5th grade at boarding school. After graduating from high school I attended Prarie Bible College graduating with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies after completing the 3 year program. I moved to Edmonton, Alberta and worked for a Trust Company for several years. It was a time to get established and active in a local church, Ellerslie Road Baptist Church. In 1989 I felt like I was at crossroads in my life. Missions had always been a viable option as I had seen how God had used my parents in the furtherance of the gospel in Venezuela. I applied to TEAM asking God to show me if this was what I should do. My first desire was to return to Venezuela but then I got interested in Italy through a high school friend. I realized that Europe was definitley needing the gospel and was lagging behind the rest of the world in many ways. God confirmed my going to Italy through the leaders of my home church, through the prayers and interest of others, and through his Word. I arrived in Italy in May of 1992. I continue to praise the Lord for his leading and working in and through me.

Ministry Focus:

Along with team members Mario and Annegret Carlomagno we are trying to establish a church in Faenza. Faenza is one of the first cities that TEAM entered many years ago. The work has suffered many setbacks and at present we are working at re-starting the church. We are trying to make an impact in the community through outdoor kids’ programs in the parks (called Giochi Estivi/ Summer Games), soccer camp in the summer, Thanksgiving meals and presentations in the schools, through the ministry of the Christmas Carolers, and through a week of English summer camp connected with an a secular association. We are trying to take advantage of every opportunity to influence those around with the gospel with the intent of inviting them to read and study God’s Word together.

Primary Prayer Request:

God speaks to people through His Word. Please pray with us that many would want to study the Bible together and would come to saving faith in Him.
