Chad and Noriko met in Japan when Chad was on vacation visiting a college friend. Some people have called it “love at first sight”, but they know that God had a lot more to do with it than sight. They communicated by phone, letters, and e-mails for 10 months until Noriko came to Columbus, Ohio, to further her education at Ohio State University. They continued dating and were married in November of 2000. Their daughter Yuki was born in February of 2005, and their son Yoshiki was born in February of 2010.

God has given us a ministry vision that TEAM missionaries and Japanese Christians will become more effective and efficient in establishing reproducing churches in Japan by the support and encouragement provided through our God-given abilities and gifts. My primary role is to support missionaries from TEAM Japan?s main office in Mitaka city. I am also responsible for the computer systems in the main office as well as TEAM Japan’s website. Noriko uses her gift of encouragement to benefit both TEAM missionaries and Japanese believers.
