Dean and Dianna Kubacz

Dean's Story

I was blessed to have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ at a young age, but God’s ongoing revelation of His amazing grace is a continual and indescribable blessing. After a brief career in natural resources, God reoriented my path and passions toward missions and medicine – He did this through members of His Body and by His amazing provision (it’s a long and wonderful story!). He has blessed me with believers who speak the truth into my life and who encourage me to trust God to be as faithful as His Word says that He is! In 2004, I met my wife on a missions trip to South Africa; since then, God has continued to affirm His call to missions on both of our lives. We visited Chad in 2012 and through prayer God made it apparent that this is where He has been preparing us to go. Dianna and I have an amazing daughter named Hannah Grace (“Gracie”) who is 4, a son named Siméon who was born in November 2013, and three children that we will meet one day in heaven. We arrived in Chad in 2014 and we are studying language and culture. We continue to be amazed at God’s unfolding plan to bring in a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language. And we are blessed to be a part of that plan!

Dianna's Story

I am excited to be embarking on this adventure with my husband, Dean, our daughter, Gracie (May 2010) and our new son (expected Nov 2013)! We are two physicians — both born and raised in South Carolina — who met on a medical mission trip in South Africa, completed family medicine residency training in Kansas and after visiting various parts of West Africa are headed to Chad. We are blessed to be sent out and supported by a wonderful network of family and friends who are faithful pray-ers and support-ers!

I have a passion for the nations to be glad — truly glad — as only comes through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! I hope that while we are meeting physical needs, we can shine the light of Truth so that people can truly see.

Family:

Dean (husband), Dianna (wife), Children: Gracie (amazing daughter), Simeon (rapidly growing son)

Ministry Focus:

We will join a team whose primary focus is to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to support the advance of an indigenous, reproducing church. There are diverse opportunities to obey Christ’s commands to preach the truth and to meet others’ needs: medical work in the hospital, clinics, and villages; community health evangelism and other development work; well-drilling; Christian school; hosting teams. We also pray that our daily walk of following Christ would be a light in our community – that our neighbors would not just see us as outsiders but as possessors of a life and a Spirit that is different than what they currently know.

The People:

Chad is home to 71 unreached people groups and several of them are located where we will be working. Few of them have heard the true story of who Jesus is. God has opened doors and there are men of peace in this region, but there is also resistance to beliefs and teachings from “outside”.

Primary Prayer Request:

For the people of Chad to see Jesus for who He truly is! Only God can open their hearts to see this truth, to turn them from darkness and the power of Satan to faith in His only Son (Acts 26:17-18). We ask for prayers that He will do this work and will use us in it.
