Geoff Hahn

My Story

Geoff accepted Christ at a young age, and when he was a teenager, God called him to cross-cultural mission. He completed his BA at Wheaton College, M.Div. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and his doctorate at Denver Seminary with a thesis in cross-cultural partnerships.

Geoff’s wife, Fiona, is a nurse and holds a master’s degree in public health. Her ministry focus is on compassionate ministry that protects and empowers populations that are marginalized or vulnerable to exploitation. Their sons, Greg and Gabriel, and daughter-in-law, Kandace, are all serving others with the unique gifts and skills God has given them.

Before beginning in overseas mission, Geoff served in pastoral roles in Chicago area churches. As missionaries with SIM, God opened doors for his family to serve in rural and urban settings in Ecuador, including ministry in evangelism, discipleship, church planting, leadership training, founding an eye clinic and radio station, and developing structures to mobilize and send Latin American missionaries.

In mission leadership, Geoff served as both country and area director, and on the International Leadership Team for thirteen years, most recently as Deputy International Director. Along with geographic leadership responsibilities for North, Central, and South America, Geoff also provided global leadership for partnerships, mobilization, diaspora engagement, and business-based ministries.

As of April 2018, Geoff joined TEAM and now serves as Executive Director, Collaboration, and Globalization.

Geoff’s passion is to empower others for effective ministry in our ever-changing world.
