Jack's Story

I came to know Christ as a child and as I have grown He has, in different ways, blessed me with a heart to serve Him. He’s taught me about serving in the Church, serving needs of the community, serving my peers, and serving college students. Now, God is using the knowledge, experience, and character He’s built in me to serve the people of Papua by making Him known, teaching and training others to follow Him, and sending laborers into His harvest. Praise God for His wonderful work!

Junia's Story

I encountered Jesus at a young age, and He has so faithfully loved me and led me all my life, even when I’m not so faithful to Him. I delight to see His love and glory displayed through His work in the world as He draws every tribe and tongue and nation to Himself, so I feel privileged to get to take part in His work! I love to see His creativity displayed in the diversity of different languages, and it excites me to hear Him praised in other languages. I studied linguistics at Truman State University and have been working towards a Master’s in Applied Linguistics with a concentration in Descriptive Linguistics at Dallas International University.

Ministry Focus:

TEAM Papua’s vision is to see a mature, growing, vibrant national church which is actively sending national missionaries, and passionate about reaching the “Major Tribe” in Papua Indonesia. They are achieving this vision by participating with God in bringing to maturity the growing national church, mobilizing it to send national missionaries, and leading and cooperating to reach the “Major Tribe” in Papua Indonesia. Junia and I are excited to work alongside the local Church and TEAM in reaching this “Major Tribe.”
