Janet Stump

My Story

With thirty-three years of fund development experience, Jan understands the crucial role of mission-driven advancement to build vibrant and sustainable non-profit organizations. Most recently Jan served as Director of Development for The Colossian Forum in Grand Rapids, MI, where she established an integrated advancement function in this young, but thriving discipleship organization. Prior to that role, she was the Executive Director of the ACSI Education Foundation, leading the advancement effort to strengthen and sustain ACSI’s global mission and to creatively resource the Christian schooling movement through thought leadership, innovation, resource development and advocacy. She also launched development at ACSI as the association’s first Director of Development and Public Relations, a position she held for ten years.

Jan has spoken widely in the US, Africa, Asia and Europe about contemporary culture, Christian schooling, and advancement and leadership.  Jan holds an MA in Literature from the University of Alaska and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), held continuously since 2001.

Jan and her husband, Don, enjoy a heritage of faith passed on by missionary parents and their legacies in Alaska and China.  Don and Lorene Stump served over fifty years with Interact Missions (formerly Artic Missions) and Vernon and Frances Mortenson, similarly invested in TEAM’s global mission.

Jan and her husband, Don,  have three sons, three daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.
