Our Story

In 2017 we had the opportunity on a short term trip to provide childcare for workers living overseas. For one week these missionary moms and dads could entrust their kids to us and attend worship together and be trained to serve well in their area of the world. They serve in difficult places where people are often hardened or even hostile to the Gospel. Seeing the relief and gratitude on the parents faces as they entrusted their precious ones to us solidified our call as husband and wife to support long term missionaries. We soon learned about Black Forest Academy in Germany, an international boarding school for missionary children.  In 2018 we were blessed to come to BFA and serve as dorm parents to 18 high school students. After serving in the dorm for a year, we transitioned to our new roles. Ken now serves on the maintenance team helping maintain the school campus, the student dorms and the school vehicles and we enjoy hosting missionary parents in our home when they come to visit their students at BFA.

Ministry Focus:

Black Forest Academy is an international boarding school for missionary kids that gives a highly academic Christian education taught in English. Students attend high school here in Germany and prepare to make the transition to universities in the US.

Primary Prayer Request:

Thank you for praying:

  • for missionary kids, also known as third culture kids, and their families.
  • for us that we may serve these families well here in Germany.
  • for our own children and family in the US.
