Kenneth and Sarah Lo

Kenneth's Story:

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” (Matt. 9:37) Through multiple summer short term missions trips to Taiwan, the Lord slowly impressed on our hearts that we could be the ones to fill this need for laborers. Sarah and I have committed to serve 2-3 years in Taiwan with TEAM beginning in 2019. Until then, we are fundraising and building a support network for their time in Taiwan.

Sarah and I currently live in Tallahassee, FL and I work part-time as a P.E. coach and drink consultant for a local bakery. In my spare time, I explore various hobbies, including: ultimate frisbee, BJJ, coffee, and anything else that perks my curiosity.

Sarah's Story:

The Lord has been faithful in growing my heart for Taiwan since my high school years. God brought Taiwan into our lives through short-term mission trips with our church in 2009. We must be slow learners, because it took many trips before we said, “Yes, Lord! We will go to Taiwan!” The Lord has given us a passion to disciple the Taiwanese to walk with the Lord, and to give them the tools to reach out and disciple their neighbors. Now He is leading my husband and me to minister there for a two years (and maybe more!)

I am currently based in Tallahassee, Florida, with my husband, Kenneth. In the afternoons, I am a private piano teacher, and in the mornings I manage at a local bakery. We love our local church, Four Oaks Community Church, and are so blessed to have that community and fellowship in our lives. We’re so excited to be part of God’s story as we look forward to ministering in Taiwan!

Ministry Focus:

We seek to use this 2 year opportunity with TEAM Taiwan to discern how the Lord would have us serve in Taiwan long term. While engaging in language learning and cultural adaptation, we hope to explore multiple ministry opportunities in an number of different settings. We also seek to make disciples in the context of multiple ministry settings and methodologies. Lastly, we hope to develop ministry skills in the context of a ministry team.
