Roger, sons Kevin (Bridget: Savannah, Caleb, Malachi, Abigail) and Christopher (Naomi: Benjamin)
I grew up in a Christian home, the third of five children. My Dad was active in the church, and my Mom helped me to understand how to become a child of God when I was about six years old. After high school, I went to nursing school and worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where I sensed a need for a greater understanding of how to communicate why I believe in Christ to the people with whom I was working. I graduated from the Moody Bible Institute with a major in Bible Theology, and a desire to serve the Lord.
Roger and I met while at Moody, and began to date after I graduated and we both returned to Massachusetts. Roger started teaching in the East Bridgewater school system, and earned a Master’s degree in teaching physics. I worked as a nurse in a local hospital. We began to investigate missions as God worked in our hearts to commit to a lifetime of service together. He led us to TEAM, and then to Christiansen Academy. When the school closed in 2001, the Lord led us to this new opportunity to use the gifts, skills, and preparation that He has provided, in order to help others increase their effectiveness in ministry.
