Matt and Tori Jansson

My Story

The Jansson division of TEAM Japan consists of on-the-field missionaries, Matt and Tori Jansson, as well as a team of state-side missionaries including the congregations of Grace EV Free La Mirada and Palmdale Community Church, as well as numerous individuals and families from Orange County, Los Angeles, the Antelope Valley, and Visalia, in addition to other locations across America.

Matt and Tori have spent the last two years serving with TEAM in Tokyo, Japan. During that time, they began to feel the Lord calling them to return as longterm church planters. Their next term is dedicated to language and culture study and church-planting training, which will involve completing two years of language school and apprenticing experienced missionaries in order to learn how to best do evangelism, disciple believers, and plant churches within the Japanese cultural context.

Matt and Tori have a passion to see Japanese disciples equipped and motivated to multiply their faith and lead gospel movements in their own nation, overflowing into the world.

Reproducible Models: We are committed to doing evangelism, discipleship, and church planting using methods that are Japanese-language based, contextualized to Japanese culture, and reproducible by Japanese believers.
