We both grew up in Kansas and met at Kansas State University where Susan studied Elementary Education and Michael studied Mechanical Engineering. During these spiritually formative years, God impressed upon us just how much His heart breaks for those who do not yet know Him AND how He is actively calling for His people to join Him in spreading His kingdom amongst every nation, tribe, language, and tongue.
There are many ways to serve others, and we believe all can point to the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Today, poverty remains a powerful force of oppression that must be met holistically with Christ’s gospel of freedom to bring hope to the downtrodden. He wants us to be present in the heartbreak of this world and to bring real hope that can only come through Christ.
Beginning in 2009, our family has worked in partnership with the local/indigenous church in our country of service to promote the holistic welfare of the communities we live among through discipleship and evangelism, micro-enterprise development, clean water ministries, and creation care.
