Michelle decided at a very young age that she wanted to be a police officer, but God had other amazing plans in mind.
In 2014 Michelle visited Japan for the first time and fell in love with the country and it’s people. She noticed that there were thousands of temples and shrines, but few to no churches. After researching this further, she found out that less than half of 1% of the population believed in Jesus or even knew about His love. After lots of prayer, and God opening some doors, Michelle decided to change her career path in order to serve the Japanese population as a long term missionary.
Youth Ministry: Today’s youth are tomorrows leaders. It’s Michelle’s desire to ignite a passionate love for Christ within the youth of Japan through building strong, long lasting relationships with the Japanese people. She believes that in order to reach the youth, she needs to use methods that are Japanese-language based, contextualized to Japanese culture, and reproducible by Japanese believers.
Video Outreach: Meeting people where they’re at. Michelle aims to create informative and respectful videos about Japanese culture to help the global church understand the needs of the Japanese people. She also desires to further develop her video editing skills in order to serve the Japanese church with video creation and outreach.
