Both of us grew up in Christian homes and came to know Jesus personally in our early teenage years. With missions in mind, we both attended Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, AZ where we met for the first time. It didn’t take long before we realized our love for each other and that God had been placing a similar passion for the Japanese people on our hearts.
So we got married right after graduation in 2014 and have been working toward going to Japan ever since.
We could blabber on about our story for pages and pages, but we’d rather you talk with us to hear about more of our story! We’d love to hear from you.
Nicholas (husband), Erin (wife)
One of our main goals is to establish long lasting relationships with the Japanese people. We see it necessary to invest time in their lives in order to build friendships (and eventually become brothers and sisters in Christ) with them.
Also, the suicide rates in Japan weigh heavily on our hearts. Another longterm goal for us is to counsel the Japanese to help their fellow people who struggle with the pressures of life that drive them to such heart breaking measures.
Overall, we just want to become part of the Japanese people and show them God’s love.
Primary Prayer Request:
-That God would encourage us to be bold in sharing our calling with others who can support us and join our mission in reaching His people in Japan
-For God to speak through us (despite all language and cultural barriers) rather than us forcing our own words upon people.
-For God to be prepare the way by working on the hearts and eyes of the Japanese people to His Word.
-For God to work on our own spiritual well being in order that we can be a good example in our mission field and sincerely live out our calling.
