Right now our big request is for strength, wisdom and clear guidance as we prepare training events and materials. Pray that God will continue to use us in a significant way to encourage and equip leaders.
Phil is a TEAM MK from Japan and Ann is an MK from Bolivia. They met at Columbia B. College. Ann is an RN. She taught nursing for three years before marrying Phil. They have two children and three grandchildren. They left for Taiwan in 1972 and did ch. planting there in four locations. Phil also served as chairman for the field.
In 1996 they were reassigned to Hong Kong where they were able to facilitate new projects getting started on the Mainland. In 2000 they moved to NE Asia where they have continued to serve till now.
Since 2008, they are also seconded to the Christian Embassy (Cru) where they have been reaching out to foreign diplomats. Phil still is responsible for the project in the Mainland.
Ann is my wife and a constant companion in ministry. Over the years we have ministered together .
Our focus is on encouraging and equipping local ch. leaders so they can be better equipped in caring for the people entrusted to them. We are doing this in several locations and continue to see significant growth in the lives of these leaders in China.
In Washington we have the privilege of reaching foreign diplomats, people who have been uprooted from their own countries. They are very receptive to the practical expertise that we can offer them. Some will also testify to gaining a faith in Christ that has made a huge difference in their lives, personally and professionally.
We have found the people of North Asia to be so friendly, receptive, and willing to sacrifice everything to serve their Lord. We have the opportunity of an on-going ministry to some 30+ ch. leaders and several hundred music majors at small B. school near our city. These music majors return to their ch’s to serve through music.
