My Story

I was born and raised in Canton, OH, the oldest of two daughters. While attending Columbia Bible College (Now CIU) I met my husband, Jim. We married in 1990 and moved to Vancouver, WA following our graduation in 1991. We both taught elementary school and then moved to China in 1998 with our three children. While there we adopted our fourth child, Tessa. After returning to the States in 2000, we felt called to work with MKs overseas. We joined TEAM and moved to Russia in 2003. I taught 2nd grade and then kindergarten at Hinkson Christian Academy. Following four years of ministry in Moscow, we moved to Krasnodar to start a new school where I taught K-3 in one room, and 5-8 English in the other! After losing our visas in 2009 we returned to the US and I began my ministry with TEAM families and TCKs. I took a year to teach kindergarten again and catch up with technology in the classroom in 2012-2013 and then returned to my position with TEAM.
