Veronica began serving in youth ministry while she was still a youth herself, volunteering with her church’s youth committee. This led to her participating in a gap year program called Captive Free, which involved traveling all over the United States as part of a youth ministry music team. She developed a love for nonprofit work through this experience, and immediately went to Houghton College to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with focuses in Management, Marketing, and International Business. Veronica did some international travel as part of a college program, which solidified her desire to live and work in Europe someday. After moving back home to Pennsylvania, she continued to work in youth ministry and build career skills, hearing about TEAM and Black Forest Academy along the way.
God has uniquely set up Veronica to join the Human Resources Department at Black Forest Academy, which will blend her two passions of administration and youth ministry. She will be serving as an administrative assistant by day, working to create a safe environment for the students, and she hopes to build relationships with the students at the Academy during the rest of the week.
That God will continue to grow Veronica in her work and in her faith, and that He will work through her to build genuine relationships with the BFA staff, students, and local community. Pray as well that God will continue to move in the hearts of the surrounding German, Swiss, and French people, that they will hear and accept the gospel of Jesus and learn to rely on Him.
