View All AreasZimbabwe
Since 2000, Zimbabwe’s economy has contracted significantly leading to new levels of unemployment and hardship. Add to that times of regional drought and the lingering effects of the HIV/AIDs pandemic and it is not difficult to understand that the Zimbabwean church has huge opportunities to minister. Through initiatives like ANESU and well regarded institutions like the Harare Theological College and the Karanda Mission Hospital, TEAM works to equip and complement the church as it reaches out to people in need with the transformational message and compassionate demonstration of the Gospel of Christ.
Learn MoreSouthern Africa
Southern Africa faces many challenges as it copes with the highest HIV prevalence in the world. But HIV/AIDS is merely a symptom of the underlying problems that fuel the pandemic. In this context, the church needs leaders who will take advantage of the unparalleled opportunity to bring Christ's message of eternal hope to communities and individuals. TEAM missionaries in eSwatini and South Africa are developing leaders for churches, children's and youth ministries, and the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
Learn MoreNorth Africa
The great Saharan desert forms a natural barrier, both culturally and ecologically, between North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Islam is the predominant religion in North Africa, and the region is home to a wide variety of people groups with rich cultural histories. In recent years, political shifts in the region have opened up some of these countries like never before.
Learn MoreMozambique
In Mozambique, as in southern Africa, the Church continues to grow at a phenomenal rate. There is a need for sufficiently trained African leaders capable of discipling the many who are coming to Christ. However, only 5% of the leaders in these Mozambican churches know how to read or write, and even fewer of them read sufficiently to teach their people from the Word of God!
Learn MoreChad
With more than 120 languages, Chad is one of the most linguistically diverse countries in Africa, and more than half of its language groups have little or no Christian witness. TEAM missionaries work with young churches and their leaders, run a radio station, work in community health, teach English, and use traditional oral storytelling to spread the Gospel.
