Malaysia is “truly Asia” filled with a variety of cultures from across the region. We desire to make disciples and plant churches among the many people groups including migrants and refugees through strategic partnerships and abundant gospel sowing among the unreached.
Learn MoreVietnam
We see Vietnam being spiritually refreshed as we partner to ignite church planting movements in the least-reached people groups of Vietnam. Our focus is abundant gospel sowing and disciple-making among professionals, community members, and students.
Learn MoreIndonesia
Welcome to the stunningly beautiful archipelago of Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country, abundantly full of lovely people, lush landscapes of rice fields, mountains, and volcanoes, and spectacular waters. Its roughly 275 million residents greatly need the Truth, with over 60% of its population remaining unreached. There are many opportunities to assist in establishing, resourcing, and supporting spiritually healthy churches throughout Indonesia; will you consider joining us here?
Learn MoreCentral Asia
Central Asia is at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, serving as an important hub for the movement of people, goods, and ideas throughout history. The vast majority of the 90 million people in the region practice Islam, though people are being reached for Christ in small numbers. While Central Asia’s cities have grown more modern and industrial in recent years, many people groups still practice their nomadic traditions from long ago.
Learn MoreThailand
Thailand, the "land of the free," is inhabited by a majority Buddhist population. There are pockets of Animistic, Muslim, and Christian minority groups, but only 0.76% of the 68 million people are Evangelicals. Buddhism influences all aspects of social and civic life. Becoming and living as a Christian feels counter-cultural for Thai people, and this fact inhibits church growth. TEAM's strategy is a holistic approach to church growth by enabling Christians to have a positive influence on their community and by equipping new Thai believers to do the work of the ministry as lay leaders.
Learn MoreTaiwan
Taiwan is home to people straddling ancient Chinese traditions and hi-tech globalization. The combination of a hi-tech materialistic culture with the entrenched traditional religions of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism is a barrier to spreading the Gospel. Christianity is well known for its service to society and active care for people in need, but there is a shortage of pastors and Christian leaders and workers. Additionally, the church in Taiwan has had very little penetration into rural areas and among the working class and poor people. TEAM is working with the Taiwanese church through planting of daughter churches, camping and youth ministries, mentoring and leadership development, urban poor ministries, and Bible study training and development.
Learn MorePhilippines
TEAM is working to ignite and nurture church-planting movements among the least-reached peoples of Asia and beyond, and to equip Filipinos and Asians, for the glory of God.
Learn MorePakistan
Pakistan is home to over 70 languages and some 400 people groups. For over 65 years, TEAM has ministered to several of these groups, primarily through healthcare and education. Our goal has always been to bless the neediest people in Jesus' name, whatever their race, color, or faith, while partnering with the local church. Come join us!
Learn MoreJapan
Japan is a culturally and technologically advanced nation that appears to be upwardly evolving, but remains a land of spiritual darkness. The hopelessness of the polytheistic religion of Shinto and the non-theistic philosophies of Buddhism have consistently resisted the light of the Gospel. It has instead created an atmosphere of despair evidenced by one of the highest suicide rates in the developed world, an alarming level of teen sexual activity, and an epidemic of social withdrawal syndrome. TEAM is preaching the Gospel alongside our Japanese brothers and sisters in Christ to build up the church.
Learn MoreSoutheast Asia
Southeast Asia, divided into mainland and maritime regions, is extremely diverse. The area has long played a key role in history as an important maritime trading hub and gateway to the rest of Asia. Democratic forms of government are now taking root as many countries gain national autonomy, which is opening the doors for the gospel to be shared throughout the region.
Learn MoreSouth Asia
South Asia is home to the world’s greatest number of and largest unreached people groups, and it has the world’s greatest concentration of Hindus and Muslims. TEAM’s ministry is divided among Muslim, Hindu, and Himalayan people groups. TEAM has worked in South Asia for over a hundred years, building credibility through dedicated service to the healthcare and educational needs of many communities.
Learn MoreEast Asia
East Asia is a vast and varied region that includes everything from major urban centers to remote mountain villages. Reaching East Asians is a strategic step toward reaching the rest of the world, as the region is fast becoming an international powerhouse in economics and politics. With 100 million believers, East Asia has the potential to become the greatest sending force in the history of Christianity.
