TEAM works among Spanish-speaking communities in urban areas of the United States, starting local fellowships of Jesus followers and sharing in the ministries of already established fellowships.

The United States is arguably the third largest Spanish speaking country in the world. While millions of Hispanics participate seamlessly in the American culture, most have proudly maintained many aspects of their unique cultures and traditions. However, vast numbers of Spanish speakers are lost and suffering from the social ills found in any highly urbanized area in the United States. Spanish-speaking TEAM missionaries working alongside Hispanic churches in urban America not only share the love of Jesus but show it intentionally through a variety of church-based ministries.

The Hispanic population of the United States is around 53 million, or 17% of the total population, making people of Hispanic origin the nation’s largest ethnic or racial minority.
About 11.7 million immigrants, including about six million Mexican-born immigrants, are living in the United States illegally.
The city of Chicago is home to more than half a million immigrants; 56% of whom come from Latin America.
