Salt Factory Sports Ministry

Salt Factory Sports Ministry

Whether you’re a passionate athlete or you just enjoy a good game of dodgeball, God can use your love of sports to reach the youth of Northern Ireland.

For many kids in Northern Ireland, religion is just a stuffy school subject. After decades of conflict fought in the name of religion, the ideals of Christianity seem laughable and outdated. While churches dot the region, many youth see them as mere relics.

But that changes when you use sports as an outreach.

Salt Factory Sports partners with local churches and schools to create Christ-centered sporting events. They hold youth events, coach after-school sports, partner with Christian conferences — and more. They create a non-threatening, fun atmosphere where relationships can grow and the light of Christ can be clearly seen.

Use Your Love of Sports to Reach Northern Ireland!

This summer, Salt Factory needs sports lovers like you to help create one-of-a-kind experiences in Northern Ireland.

Help run sports programs at a weeklong Christian festival. Build relationships with teenagers and share your faith at sports camp. Lead games and activities at a local church’s VBS program. Spend a week in Northern Ireland, or intern for the summer!

Participants need to be at least 16 years of age, with a heart for young people and the ability to build relationships quickly.

Summer Intern

Anyone who’s put on a big event knows that the work begins long before opening day. Salt Factory is looking for summer interns who can serve for the whole summer, making sure each event runs smoothly.

Your home base will be Salt Factory’s Lisburn office, located right outside Belfast. You’ll learn from committed believers as you help plan events and travel throughout Northern Ireland for camps, festivals and VBS programs. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend your summer, talk with a missions coach about how you can intern this year.
